Clarence H. Raby enlisted in the Army on January 10, 1941 at Fort Oglethorpe in Georgia.

 

 Reverend Clarence H Raby - age 94 of Knoxville passed away at 7:00 A.M. Saturday August 14, 2010 at his home. He was a Baptist Preacher for 57 years and a veteran of WW II, he was a member of Burlington Masonic Lodge 763 F&AM.

He was preceded in death by parents John and Margaret Raby, son Raymond Raby, and brothers Clyde and Carl Raby, and Joe Morrison, sister Ruby Lowe.

Survived by Wife of 64 years Louise Hickman Raby, Brother Elmer Raby, Children: Pat Wampler of Lenoir City, Brenda Thomas, Carl, Clarence Allen, and Kenneth Raby all of Knoxville, Wilma Millsaps of Niota, and many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren, and Neices, Nephews and Friends.

Family and friends will meet at Pleasant Forrest Cemetery 9:45 A.M. Tuesday for Graveside Services at 10:00 A.M. with Reverend Ronnie Dotson officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8:00 P.M. Monday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.rosemortuary.com
