Frank Earl Greene, 93, of Knoxville, Tenn., formerly of Danville, passed away Nov. 25, 2005, at Baptist West Hospital, Knoxville.

Born Oct. 1, 1912, in Danville, he was the son of the late Earl and Mabel Greene. He also was preceded in death by his three brothers, Howard, John and Raymond.

Frank married Mildred Makemson on Aug. 15, 1936.

Survivors include wife, Mildred; son Larry Greene and daughter-in-law Janet; daughter Jacqwelyn Turner all of Knoxville; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Hazel Smith of Danville.

He was a member of Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Chota Masonic Lodge 253 F&AM. He was a veteran of the U S Army. He was retired from General Electric in Danville, as manager of manufacturing operations. He participated in many organizations such as the Boy Scouts, the Chamber of Commerce, neighborhood associations, and other civic activities. After retirement, he made Knoxville his home.
