George Kenneth (Ken) Johnson, age 87, of Knoxville passed away peacefully Sunday evening, June 25, 2017 with his children by his side. Ken was a veteran of the U S Army. He worked for Creative Display as a welder for many years, before going into business for himself. Ken is preceded in death by his parents, Claude E. and Hazel P. Johnson; son, George Kenneth Johnson II; daughter, Elizabeth P. Johnson; brothers, Claude E. Johnson II, Alvin Johnson and Robert Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda Baker Johnson; daughter, Clarissa Johnson; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Liliya Johnson; grandchildren, Austin Johnson and Dina Agalarova; brother, Gary Johnson; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:45 p.m. on Friday, July 7th followed by funeral services at 7 p.m. at the Click Funeral Home Middlebrook Chapel. Family and friends will gather at 2 p.m. on Sunday July 9th at Pleasant Forest Cemetery on Concord Road in Farragut for graveside services with full military honors conferred by the U S Army and the East Tennessee Veteran's Honor Guard.
