DOUGHERTY, TOM SIMPSON
age 87, of Knoxville, formerly of Russellville, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Tom was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church but had recently attended Virtue Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U S Army. Tom was a retired Mechanical Engineer from TVA after 31 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Caroline Russell Dougherty; daughter, Ann Dougherty Knight.

He is survived by his children, Tommy Dougherty and wife, Susie of Knoxville, Drew Dougherty of Knoxville, Ellen Glennon of Nashville, Clara Tolbert and husband, Todd of Nashville; grandchildren, Tad Dougherty, Michael Glennon, Matthew and Sarah Tolbert; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:45 p.m. on Sunday at the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. with Rev. Mark Allison officiating.
